Fresh Juice teams up with Baile Musik to present the first in the imprints vinyl series, a four-track release from Fresh Juice members Crocodile Soup, Jessica Diaz and Monika Ross accompanied by Dutch underground queen Lilith.
Titled ‘L’Homme Mystere’, the initial track from Crocodile Soup features eerie buzzes and crackles on top of a groovy bassline, whilst trickling rainfall adds to its subterranean depth. ‘Mani Padme’ features a synergy between intricate percussion and rolling bass that Lilith has convincingly mastered, with a melismatic chant erupting midway in a stunning testament to the artist’s inspiring experimentalism.
In ‘Tres’ Jessica Diaz makes sure to lay down a solid kick, whilst subtle atmospherics and dubby synths add an underlying tension to the mix. To conclude, ‘Madame Magic’ from Monika Ross delivers a mesmeric piece of tech house that comes equipped with shuffling hats, hypnotic chimes, as well as elements of jazz.
